Kidnappers Demand Rs 50 lakh to Release Son of IT Official in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Unidentified culprits reportedly kidnapped Sharath (19), a son of Niranjan, an officer at income tax department (IT) in an incident reported at Jnana Bharathi police station area limits in Bengaluru. Niranjan is a resident of Ullal in Kengeri and kidnappers took away his son two days earlier.
In a whatsapp video sent to Niranjan and his wife the kidnappers demanded a sum of Rs 50 lakh for his release. Sharath is a second year engineering diploma student in the city. A case has been registered at Jnana Bharathi police station on the incident and police investigation is in progress to nab the culprits, sources said.
