Heavy Rainfall Stalls Normal Life in Kalburgi

Kalburgi: Normal life of the people stalled in Kalburgi town and most of the places in the district following heavy rainfall activities in the last 24 hours ended on Thursday morning. Many of the roads have been filled with flood water and electricity supply has also disconnected after heavy thunderstorms recorded last night.

KBN Hospital in Kalburgi turned into lake as flood water entered into the ward of the hospital creating chaos. Fortunately, the patients were relocated to another portion knowing possible threat after heavy rainfall.

All most all dams, small rivers have been filled with water affecting the transport services via bridges in the region.  Chittapur recorded a heavy rainfall of 11 cm whereas  Kalaburgi, Sedam, Yedrami witnessed 10 cm rainfall during the past 24 hours ended on Thursday morning.
