Bengaluru: In a big setback to Karnataka State Government and Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Karnataka high court has released an order on Friday to stall ongoing investigation against former Karnataka Chief Minister, state BJP president BS Yeddyurappa (BSY). Earlier, ACB had filed first information report (FIR) against the BJP leader and stated he violated law to denotify Dr K Shivaram Karanth layout in the state capital during his tenure as chief minister of the state.
Following the FIR, BSY filed a petition before Karnataka High Court and urged the court to release and order to stop ongoing ACB investigation against him as he didn’t violate law in land denotification as alleged by the investigation team.
A single member bench of the high court observed that all arguments, allegations raised by ACB are baseless and doesn’t have any significant proofs, evidences to prove the statements made against BSY.
