Bengaluru: Normal life paralyzed in Bengaluru city and neighboring regions as heavy rainfall continued for the second day on Monday. Traffic jams have been reported at various parts of the city after water flooded into low-lying areas in the city.

Heavy rainfall lashed the city on Sunday night after a gap of more than a week and filled many under passes. The rainfall is expected to continue for three to four days following a depression in Bay of Bengal, a weather forecast from India Meteorological Department said.

Bengaluru city receives an average rainfall of 211.5 mm in the month of September. However, this year it recorded 376.7 mm rainfall until September 24 and the rainfall is very likely to continue for three to four days.
