Cloud Seeding Completed Successfully in Karnataka: Minister HK Patil

Bengaluru: Cloud seeding project has been successfully carried out in Karnataka and the regions where cloud seeding project undertaken have witnessed higher than expected showers recently, said HK Patil, Karnataka State Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj in Bengaluru on Wednesday speaking on the cloud seeding project initiated by the state government.
Two airplanes were used for the project out of which one plane completed the project during a time span of 65.38 hours of 37 days whereas another one took 24 hours of 20 days to complete its task. The rainfall activities have risen from 10% to 25% following the cloud seeding, the minister said answering to a question.
