Industrialist’s Grandson Booked Under Police Case Flees from Hospital in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Grandson of industrialist late DK Audikeshavalu Naidu, Vishnu (25) reportedly escaped from a private hospital here in Bengaluru on Friday morning. He was being treated in ICU ward under police supervision however, he was managed to run away from their hands through an emergency door of the hospital, sources said.

The police had taken Vishnu into the custody after his luxurious Mercedes Benz car hit a Maruti Omni at South End Circle in Bengaluru city injuring 5 people seriously on Wednesday midnight. The locals were beaten Vishnu soon after accident as his drunken driving caused for the accident. Later he was handed over to Jayanagar traffic police for further legal proceedings.

The traffic police recovered 110 gram ganja and cash of Rs 10, 000 from Vishnu’s luxurious car seized inconnection with the case. The traffic police found an alcohol level of 150 mg when they examined him using alcohol meter.

The Omni, in which a family of seven was travelling, was allegedly hit by the speeding car and Kaisar Khan (35), and his family sustained with minor injuries, sources said.   

Later, Vishnu was brought to Mallya hospital in the city for treatment and he was being treated at an ICU ward under the supervision of the police for the past 48 hours. Two police cases have been booked against Vishnu- for holding ganja and for drunken driving which damaged property and injured 5 persons.
