Metro labourers killed after a truck rammed over them

Kochi: Three Metro labourers were killed and one severely injured when a trucked mowed them down here last night.

The victims were working near the Muttayam Metro Yard here.

The four were rushed to the hospital. Two of them were declared brought dead at the Ernakulam Medical College, one died at a private hospital in Kochi and another is under treatment at a private hospital.

Police after examining CCTV footage said that the vehicle is yet to be identified. “The driver did not stop the lorry or the truck after hitting the men. We are trying to locate the vehicle. The four men seem to be hailing from Uttar Pradesh,” a police source said.
