Nadda attends BJP march against political violence in Kerala

New Delhi: Union minister J P Nadda on Friday took part in the ‘Jan Raksha Yatra’ organised by the BJP’s Delhi unit against political violence in the Left-ruled Kerala, and compared the Leftists with the Taliban.

The ‘Jan Raksha Yatra’ started from Mandir Marg and ended with a demonstration near the CPI(M) headquarters on Bhai Veer Singh Marg here.

“The Taliban and the Leftists are the products of one thinking and the method of work of both the groups is similar — forcing people to follow their thinking and eliminating those who do not,” a statement issued by the party quoted Nadda as saying.

Their thinking is synonymous with “hatred and terror”, he said.

Nadda said that like in other parts of the world, the Leftist thinking would be defeated in Kerala.

“Foundation of the government in Kerala lies on the dead bodies of the BJP and RSS workers,” he added.

At the protest, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said that the RSS and BJP workers were “sacrificing their lives” for establishing “nationalism” in Kerala.

The ‘Jan Raksha Yatra’ was flagged off in Kannur by BJP chief Amit Shah on October 3.

Shah also participated in a protest march organised by the Delhi unit here last Sunday.

The CPI(M) has hit back at the BJP for holding protests over political killings in Kerala, saying its ‘Jan Raksha Yatra’ was a “flop” and that it was aimed at diverting diverting public attention from the “growing discontent” against the Modi government.
