Chief Minister Visits Rain Hit Kurubarahalli in Bengaluru; Assures Compensation

Bengaluru: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has visited artificial flood hit Kurubarahalli in Bengaluru on Saturday to evaluate its present condition after heavy rainfall activities lash the state capital city on Friday night.

Five people were lost their live in the state capital on Friday after they engulfed in flood water. Chief Minister ordered Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to handover necessary compensation to the families of the deceased immediately.

Priest of a temple here at Kurubarahalli was died after he engulfed in flood water whereas Shankarappa and Kamlamma couple lost their lives after wall of their house collapsed unexpectedly. Also, artificial flood water in Laggere lake canal took the lives of, Meenakshi and her daughter Pushpa in the presence of Meenakshi’s husband.

Chief minister visited the residence of the deceased priest assured family members of the priest, Vasudeva Bhat that the government will bear the education expenditure of his children and provide government job to his wife.
