Ilegal Slaughter House Cases: Bengaluru Police Arrest 23 Accused Who Assaulted Complainants, Others

Bengaluru: Bengaluru police arrested 23 accused in two separate assault cases in the state capital on Tuesday. The owner of an illegal slaughter house and their supporters attacked the police, high court commissioners, advocates, officials and complainants when they arrived to shut and seal an illegal butchery at Bettadahalli in the state capital following a high court order to close illegal butcheries in Bengaluru.

The assailants have damaged police and other private vehicles also in the incident. The police called Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) to control the situation in Bettadahalli area as the area turned tensed.

The police have arrested 23 accused inconnection with Bettadahalli assault case and an assault on a senior techie for registering police complaint against illegal slaughter house in the state capital on October 14.  Out of 23 accused, the police arrested 13 persons inconnection with the assault on the techie while remaining others were allegedly played role in Bettadahalli incident.
