Fake Cab Operators Rob College Lecturer in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Unidentified culprits in the disguise of cab operator kidnapped a college lecturer and robbed Rs 18,000 in an incident reported on October 21 in Bengaluru. The victim, Doddaballapur based college lecturer, Santhosh booked an Ola cab to visit a temple here on Saturday and the incident took place after unidentified persons came in the disguise of Ola cab operators and kidnapped the lecturer to rob his valuables and cash.

The assailants took the victim into their cab and assaulted and forcefully transferred cash from his bank account into their bank account through online. The culprits later threw the victim out of their cab at Nagavara in the city. Santhosh has registered a complaint at Mahalakshmipuram police station on the incident.
