PSI Seriously Injured after Firing Incident in Vijayapura

Vijayapura: Police sub inspector (PSI) Gopal Hallur and notorious criminal, gang leader Dharmaraj Chadchana have been injured in a firing incident occurred at Chadchan village in Indi taluk of Vijayapura on Monday morning.  Condition of the PSI turned serious after he was hit by two bullets.

The incident occurred when Dharmaraja and his gang members fired at police team when they arrived to question him at his residence inconnection with criminal cases filed against him. The police quickly responded to the attack and fired back.

Both injured have been admitted to nearby hospital for treatment and the duo have been hit by two bullets each. Dharamaraj is accused in number of criminal cases including murder, robbery and other criminal cases in Vijayapura district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Kuldeepkumar Jain, additional SP Shivakumar Gunare and other senior police officers have rushed into the spot soon after the firing incident.
