New Delhi: Government needs to ensure that education, nutrition and health facilities reach scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said today.
He further said that very sharp inequality persists between SC/ST and other castes. “Sanitation will also play a huge impact on improvement of nutrition,” he said.
Kant was speaking at the launch of a report — ‘Young Lives Round 5 Longitudinal Findings’.
He emphasised that physical infrastructure is also necessary for providing education, nutrition and health facilities to SC/ST.
