15 injured in head-on collision in Doda

Bhadarwah/Jammu:  Fifteen persons, including five police jawans and two undertrials, were injured in a head-on collision between a mini bus and a police bus at Gatsoo area in Doda district today.

The mini bus, which was on its way to Kishtwar collided with the police bus coming from the opposite direction on the Batote-Doda-Kishtwar road around 0930 hours, police said.

“After getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and along with locals started rescue operations and shifted all the injured persons to District Hospital Doda, where they are said to be stable,” said Iftkhar Ahmed, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) (Headquarters) Doda.

The injured police officials have been identified as Fayaz Ahmed, Noor Din, Dawood Khan, Kishore Lal Son and Sub Inspector Sanjeev Kumar. The injured undertrials have been identified as Mohd Imran and Irfan Ahmed.
