Gang of 7 Arrested for Human Sacrifice Bid in Mysuru

Mysuru: Police arrested a gang of seven who allegedly planned to sacrifice a 10 year boy for witchcraft as part of their efforts to unearth treasure at Nerale village in Nanjangud taluk of Mysuru district on Friday.

The gang reportedly used the boy to perform witchcraft on farmland owned by Bokkalappa to unearth the treasure. The locals suspect that the gang might have tried to sacrifice the boy to get the treasure.

The arrested gang members have been identified as Nerale village native Sudheer, Hedethale native Madesha, Bengaluru Konanakunte priest Suraju, Ravindra, a resident of Sullia in Dakshina Kannada, Shivappa, Puttur native Padmanabaha and car driver Suresh Doddakavalande.
