Karnataka’s Second Scuba Diving Facility Launched in Udupi

Udupi: Karnataka’s second scuba diving facility inaugurated at Kaup beach by Kaup MLA, former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake in an event organised on Sunday. The scuba diving is aimed to display marine bio diversity and beauty of the deep sea to the tourists. This is the second scuba diving facility in Karnataka after Karwar.
The diving spot is located nearly 8 kilometer away from the coast in the sea. The diving spot was selected after a detailed survey on the sea and its coast by the experts.
The diving will display rich coral reefs, marine bio diversity and others and the new initiative is expected to attract the tourists into the district. West Coast Adventures has already signed an agreement with Udupi district administration to provide scuba facility to the tourists for the period of three years.
The tourists who opt to experience scuba diving should remit a fee of Rs 3500 and all who are above the age group of 10 can avail the facility. The people who can’t swim can also experience the diving.
