Belagavi: Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar while addressing the media hit a youth who was clicking a selfie right behind him.

The incident took place on Monday, November 20.

Minister Shivakumar was at a Child Rights’ event at a Belagum college when the incident took place.

While addressing the media, the minister happened to turn around, disturbed by the man trying to take a selfie, hit him. Shivakumar had hit him on the arm, according to the video posted a news website.

Evidently the irritated Minister lost his cool and hit the man in front of the media.

The minister later defended his action, saying it was a “normal incident”.

“Have basic common sense. When I’m carrying out my responsibility and addressing the press, how can someone come out for a selfie? It was a normal incident,” he said.
