Private bus caught fire at Hassan

Hassan: A private sleeper coach from Mangaluru to Bengaluru caught fire in the outskirts here at midnight.
The bus was completely charred in the flames which engulfed it. The incident happened near Kanchatahalli village on NH 75 near here.
However, the 30 passengers escaped the fire and are safe.
It has been reported that, the driver who noticed the fire first and took immediate steps to evacuate the passengers. Therefore, loss of life and injury were averted.
It is learnt that some technical problems in the engine would have ignited the fire. Arrangements were made to take passengers to Bengaluru by other buses. Loss of luggage and other belongings is yet to be assessed.
