Bengaluru: Delhi based Forensic Science Laboratory has ascertained that the person in the video tape was indeed Dhyana Peetha meditation centre chief, Swami Nithyananda.
Back in 2010, a video tape of Self claimed Godman, Nithyananda sharing an intimate relationship with a Tamil actress had gone viral.
The criminal investigation department was investigating on this case and the department has confirmed in its report that the two persons captured in the video was Swami and his disciple, Tamil actress Ranjitha.
It may be recalled that the petitioner who had filed a rape case against the Godman was one of Nithyananda’s aides, Lenin Kuruppan. Lenin had secretly shot the video and had lodged a complaint with Tamil Nadu police. He had shot the video to expose the seer’s misdeeds.
The case was transferred to Ramnagara police as Bidadi where Nityananda has built his ashram – comes under their jurisdiction. Back then, Nithyananda had rubbished the reports of sleaze video and even denied him in the video, claiming video was morphed to tarnish his reputation.
However, with the FSL ascertained Nithyananda’s identity in the CD.
