Sand Mafia busted in Kasargod

Kasargod: Police have busted a gang involved in sand smuggling that was transporting sand in sugar bags here.
It has been reported that police were successful to track the truck which was carrying illegal sand at Trikarpur.
Police personnel of Chandera police station stopped a truck that was plying from Mangaluru to Kannur, for checking at Trikarpur. When they opened the container, they found, that sand was being transported in white bags.
154 bags of sand have been seized.
Abdul Rehman (28), from Mangaluru, has been arrested in this connection.
