Protesters set fire to a police vehicle

Honnavara: Protest was held here against the murder of Paresh Mestha. Protestors turned violent and some miscreants set a car ablaze.
It has been reported that the vehicle of IGP Hemanth Limbavalkar was put on fire.
Police had to resort to lathi charge to bring the condition in control.
According to eyewitnesses nearly 1000 Hindu activists had gathered in the town for the protest. A Sub-Inspector of Police too has been injured in the incident.
Sources said police are having a tough time in bringing the situation under control.
