Elderly woman found murdered at her residence

Kasargod: An elderly woman was found dead at her residence after thieves broke into her house near here on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as PV Janaki (65) from Puliyannoor.

Janaki’s husband has been seriously injured and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

It has been reported that a gang of three barged into their house to look out for valuables. The gang slit the couple’s throat after tying up their limbs.

Investigation also revealed that the miscreants had robbed the gold worn by Janaki, and jewellery and cash from the house.

Police squad along with canines is further probing into the murder.
