Mangaluru: Priyanka, a 25-year-old from Daregudde in Moodbidri, reportedly eloped with a youth named Hyder giving a spark to rumours of love jihad has professed a letter appealing not to search any further.

The letter clearly states that: “I went with Hyder from Innoli on my own wish. I am happy with him. Forgive me, don’t search for me. The letter also states that the couple would soon produce them before the court. It further reads that Priyanka had sent letters to the DK DC, district superintendent of police and Moodbidri police station.

However, family members have refused the claim and said handwriting did not match with that of Priyanka. The mother’s contention is that a third party has written the letter in the name of Priyanka to change the course of the case.
