Bengaluru: Actor Sunny Leone cancelled her participation in the New Year event which was scheduled in Bengaluru.
Leone took it to her twitter handle to express her opinion citing that since the police of Bengaluru have publicly said it cannot ensure her or any of the attendee’s safety she cancelled the event.

The event was denied permission by the authorities following protests by a fringe group that threatened to commit suicide if the actress attended the event wearing anything but Saree.
After being denied permission, the event management company had filed a writ petition in the Karnataka High Court seeking direction for sanction of approval, as they had planned the event nearly two months ago.
The event management company is hopeful to convince the actor to participate. “She is in South Africa and we are trying to reach her office to convince her to reconsider her decision. She was the star attraction of the event and it will be a major disappointment to people if she does not perform,” he said.
