Accident in nice road: two techies killed

Bengaluru: Two software engineers were killed in an accident on nice road near Kengeri at 6:00 am on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Prashanth G (26) and his friend V K Akshay Kumar. Prashanth is a resident of KN block in Vidyaranyapura and Akshay Kumar was from Kadabagere in Magadi road. The accident took place when the two were driving towards Bannerghatta Road.
A witness of the accident said that Prashanth was over taking a truck but failed to notice another truck which was moving ahead due to morning mist.
Akshay’s family member told the police that Akshay Kumar lived in Janapriya apartment at Kadabagere. He had moved to a PG near Bellandur last October as it was difficult for him to travel to his workplace from home. Prashanth’s office is in Domlur while Akshay Kumar works in Bellandur.
As said by the sources, the two were heading towards Bannerghatta or other place for a picnic as both were on leave on Wednesdays.
“Prashanth’s office is in Domlur while Akshay Kumar works in Bellandur. Both were on leave on Wednesday. Based on their colleagues’ statements, we suspect that the duo might be going towards Bannerghatta or some other place for picnic,” said the police.
