Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and senior Congress leaders will soon start a mass contact programme seeking contributions from the voters to know their expectations from the party if the party is voted to come to power in the upcoming assembly elections.

On 13th January, All India Congress President Rahul Gandhi had asked the congress leaders of the state to seek inputs from the public and include them in the party manifesto for the assembly elections.

This drive will be leaded by M Veerappa Moily, senior leader. The party leaders from all various regions will be involved for consolations to understand the expectations of the people.

A similar idea was first introduced by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which approached the voters in Delhi seeking their inputs for the strategy for the 2013 assembly elections.

For Karnataka, Rahul Gandhi has asked chief minister Siddaramaiah to involve senior leaders in a similar exercise. The manifesto is anticipated to be focused on five alternative ideas that will bring huge transformation in the economic and social conditions of the people of the state.

Veerappa Moily had claimed that the Siddaramaiah government has already fulfilled 98% of the promises made in the 2013 election’s Congress manifesto.
