Speeding car kills youth standing on the road

Kundapura: A youth died while he was on an accident spot at Kundapur-Basrur road on Monday morning.

The youth has been identified as Nitin Poojary (20) son of Sanjeev Poojary from here.

It has been reported that when an accident occurred at Kundapur-Basrur road, Nitin was a bystander and was watching the spot,  reportedly a speeding vehicle hit him and post which he sustained grievous injuries to his head. Although he was immediately rushed to a private hospital here, he did not respond to treatment.

Nitin was a third year BCA degree student of Bhandarkars College.

Bhandarkar’s college declared a day’s holiday on Tuesday in honour of the departed student.
