Constable on duty brutally assaulted by a gang

Bengaluru:  A gang of men brutally assaulted a police constable with deadly weapons while he was on duty in Padarayanapura on Tuesday night.

The victim is identified as Rajendra, constable of JJ Nagar police station is reported to be in critical condition. He was on duty that night and had gone to Padarayanapura in a Hoysala patrol vehicle to attend a complaint about 15 men creating disturbance. The men assaulted the constable with lethal weapons severely injuring him.

A special team has been formed to nab the attackers.
