Crime rate has dropped by 1% in the Karnataka: CM Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the crime rate has dropped by 1% in the Karnataka in 2017, where in while compared at the national level, it had come down by 5 to 6%.

CM has directed the police to prioritise safety for women, girls, students and children.

CM warned to take strict actions against those who are doing not take necessary steps to prevent any harmful incidents in the state.

CM asked the police to look for ways to nab the culprits selling narcotics or any drug dealing rackets.

“Drugs should not be available. Police must find out who is behind the racket and bring them to book even if they are powerful,” he said.
