Mangaluru: Bajarang Dal activist has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a girl who had eloped with a man from another community.
The arrested has been identified as Sunil Pumpwell.
It has been reported that a girl from Mangaluru had allegedly eloped with a man named Iqbal to Mumbai.
Her family had brought her back alleging it to be ‘love jihad’
Post which, Iqbal raised a complaint for kidnapping the girl.
Based on Iqbal’s complaint, Sunil Pumpwell was arrested on charges of abduction.
It has been learnt that in a Facebook post, the Bajrang Dal allegedly threatened to chop off Iqbal’s head for engaging in ‘love Jihad’.
