Industrial oils recover on renewed demand

Mumbai: Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial recovered at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following renewed demand from soaps and shippers industries.

While groundnut oil and refined palmolein eased due to lower demand from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the non-edible segment, castor seeds bold rose by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 4,125 from Friday’s close at Rs 4,100 and castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 855 as against Rs 850 yesterday.

Linseeds oil ended unaltered at Rs 800 per 10 kg.                                                          

Moving to the edible section, groundnut oil moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 925 as against yesterday’s close of Rs 930 and refined palmolein softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 617.
