Chamarajanagara:  Former MLA and son of former governor B Rachaiah, AR Krishnamurthy, announced his decision to quit the BJP, here, on Saturday.

Addressing a media conference, he said the party leaders in the district, have been neglecting him.

He also added that even when there were rumours of him joining the congress, the BJP leaders in the district did not contact him. Even when the district was organising the Parivarthana Yatre, he was not involved or informed. His name and pictures are not being displayed any where among the rest. He was also humiliated by the district president K R Mallikarjunappa, in a meeting in Bengaluru, where he indirectly said that Krishnamurthy is not capable of winning the polls.

However, he declined to confirm that he would join the Congress. He said, he would tour across the district and seek the advice of his supporters, before taking a decision on his next political decision.
