Bengaluru: Depressed nurse hangs self at hospital

Bengaluru: A 25 year old nurse hanged herself from the ceiling fan of the hospital she worked at after bring dejected by unreturned love.
The deceased is identified as Nishkala who resided at Maruthinagar. She hailed from Chamarajanagar and moved to Bangalore a year ago and started working at Sridevi Hospital in Naragabhavi. She stayed in the accommodation provided by the hospital.
According to the sources, Nishkala was in love with her co worker Gangadhar who lived in the same building. A few months ago, Nishkala asked Gangadhar to marry her but Gangadhar rejected the proposal saying that his parents would not agree for the marriage as they belong to different caste. He eventually started ignoring her and then completely stopped talking to her. Nishkala’s parents were aware of their daughter’s relationship with Gangadhar. Three days ago, Gangadhar resigned and left his job secretly. This depressed Nishkala and around 7 am on Monday she decided to end her life and hanged herself from the ceiling fan. She left a note saying she chose to end her life and no one is responsible for her death.
