Truck driver doses off while driving; killed

Bengaluru: A truck driver was killed after he hit a pillar at Dubasipalya junction on Mysuru road today.
The deceased has been identified as Shivaiah, a native of Andhra Pradesh.
It has been reported that Shivaiah was drowsy and lost control when on the Mysuru road and hit a Metro pillar. He suffered grievous injuries and died.
The truck was transporting cement sacks to Mysuru from Kadapa via Bengaluru.
Traffic movement was disrupted for some time. Kengeri traffic police brought the situation under control.
