Bengaluru: A man was stabbed to death for staring at three men

Bengaluru: An unfortunate incident took place on Sunday where a young man was stabbed to death and one more injured as a result of fight in Mallathahalli’s Maruthi bar.
The deceased has been identified as Arun Krishna, aged 22, a resident of Ullala. He along with his friend Dhillon Somaiah, who hailed from Kodagu were attacked by a gang of men who had also come to the bar. The gang attacked the two alleging that they were staring at them.
According to the sources, the two friends had gone to the bar to get some drinks at around 12 pm. A group of three men who were seated opposite to them accused Arun and Dhillon of staring at them. They soon started fighting and the situation turned violent when one of the aggressors pulled out a knife and stabbed Arun in the chest. When Dhillon rushed to aid his friend he was assaulted.
The accused soon fled the spot when the police arrived. Arun was immediately rushed to the hospital but succumbed to the injury. The Jnanbharathi police have registered a case and are going through the CCTV footages to identify the attackers.
