Sonia Gandhi’s alliance call doesn’t apply to upcoming Karnataka elections: Siddaramaiah

Davanagere: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that Congress Parliamentary Party Chief Sonia Gandhi’s call for collaboration with compatible parties to beat BJP can be applied only to the national level but not in Karnataka.
Speaking to the reporters, Siddaramaiah said that the recently announced BSP alliance with JD(S) will not affect the Karnataka Congress in the upcoming poll and that Congress has conducted a survey to obtain opinions and determine the list of candidates for the upcoming elections.
He also said that he has taken the Mid-day meal worker’s protest to concerned ministers and their demands will soon be fulfilled.
Siddaramaiah spoke to reporters at the helipad near Bellodi, Harihar taluk where he was to attend the Kanaka Guru Peetha silver jubilee function on Friday.
