Raj Cong says the budget presented by Raje is ambiguous

Jaipur: Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot today termed the budget proposed by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje as ambiguous and pretentious. Pilot made the remarks while addressing a press conference here in reaction to the Budget 2018-19.
The budget announcements were far from the reality and were influenced by the BJP’s recent defeat in the bypolls, he said. He alleged that the debt on the state has increased to 2,40,000 crore from Rs 1,21,000 crore in the last four years.
It was unfortunate that the budget had no provision to deal with the problem of unemployment and women security, he said. On the government’s announcement on loan waiver, he said the source of loan waiver money announced in the budget was not declared, making it clear that it will turn out to be just yet another announcement.
He said the crop loan waiver was only for loans taken from cooperative banks and not for kisan credit card holders of commercial banks. He said that there was no budget allocation for new industries and no relief from MSMEs that were affected due to GST and demonetisation.
He further said not more than 10 per cent employment was generated as against 15 lakh jobs promised in the manifesto. AICC general secretary and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot also dubbed the budget a mere document of announcements.
He said that the announcements will not change the resentment feelings. BJP debacle in the state was evident, he said. Leader of opposition in the Assembly Rameshwar Dudi said the budget presented by Raje was directionless and disappointing.
People had expected the chief minister to present a balanced and progressive budget but Raje has disappointed.
