BJP to oppose Bahmani Sultanate Utsav in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi: BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje on Wednesday cautioned that her party will firmly restrict any move by the state government to organise Bahmani Sultanate Utsav’ in Kalaburagi.
Speaking to media persons here, the BJP official said the government is “secretly” making courses of action to organise the Utsav on March 6. The BJP would take all measures to guarantee that the government does not proceed with its plans, she said.
The state government had officially upset peace in the state by celebrating Tippu Jayanthi. Despite the violence amid Tippu Jayanthi, the government had “conspired” to additionally fuel communal indifferences by organising the Bahmani Sultanate Utsav, she added.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, however, said that his government has no plans of organising the Utsav. “Which Bahmani Sultanate Utsav? I don’t know anything,” he said.
At the point when journalists conveyed to his notice that Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil, who is Kalaburagi locale in charge minister, had made such a declaration, Siddaramaiah advised correspondents to look for clarifications from the minister himself.
Dr Patil, in a conversation with media persons in Kalaburagi on February 11, had talked about the government’s plans of organizing the Bahamani Sulthanate Utsav.
As indicated by the sources the proposal to sort out the Utsav came up amid a gathering led by the minister recently to talk about arrangements plans being made for ‘Rashtrakuta Utsav’ at Sedam in Kalaburagi district. The Rahstrakuta Utsav will be organised at Malked in Sedam on March 4 and 5. Dr Patil will be the representative for Sedam constituency in the Legislative Assembly.
