Are Dalits sinners: questions Mallikarjuna Kharge

Kalaburagi: MP Mallikarjuna Hegde on Wednesday stated that BJP leaders are always bragging that they ate slept and stayed with the dalits at the slums. Does that mean Dalit are sinner? He questioned.
Speaking to the reporters he said “Even I was born in a slum but I have grown up to this position. BJP leaders talk about eating in a Dalit’s house as though it is an achievement. Do Dalits feed them poison? They all eat the same food what everybody else eats and serve the same to BJP people. Dalits blood is also red “he said. He also added that it is the BJP and RSS which consider Dalits as untouchables. It is because of caste indifferences and those who support it that Dalits still suffer, Kharge said.
About allegation made on Congress President Rahul Gandhi visiting temple after having non-vegetarian food, Kharge said, “BJP has run out of all issues and did not have anything concrete to take on Congress president and hence started spreading a bunch of lies” Terming BJP leaders as skilled liars, Kharge said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Shivaraj Thagadagi had already clarified on the issue.
