‘Tarang-2018’ flying kites for a cause

Manipal: Volunteer Services Organization (VSO), MAHE will organize the 6th edition of Tarang, a kite festival on February 25, 2018 at End Point, Manipal from 4 pm to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
Mr Laxman Nimbargi, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Udupi District will be the Chief Guest for the festival and Dr Avinash Shetty, Medical Superintendent, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal the Guest of Honor. This year Tarang will be different because the kites made by VSO volunteers last Sunday will be flown by the underprivileged children of slums and special homes.
There will be food and games as usual at the kite festival and there will also be Zumba, street play, dance and music performances and much more. The funds raised from the event will be utilized for Rural Healthcare Projects of VSO. The event is open to public and kites will be available @Rs 50 at the venue.
