Bengaluru: The BJP on Friday blamed Social Welfare Minister H Anjaneya for duping crores of rupees implied for programmes for the advantage of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and minorities in the state.

BJP general secretary and MP Shobha Karandlaje told reporters that the B R Ambedkar Development Corporation, which works under the Social Welfare office, has on January 2 this year endorsed drilling of 1,800 borewells in Holalkere Assembly constituency in Chitradurga region under Ganga Kalyana scheme, tossing all principles to the breezes. The Corporation has released funds to 18 contractors who were given the contract with the drilling work on the same day.

H Anjaneya represents to Holalkere (SC Reserve) constituency in the Legislative Assembly. Shobha’s charges have come a day after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah challenged the BJP to give records to demonstrate that his administration is corrupt. Siddaramaiah had additionally denounced the BJP-driven NDA government as “90% commission government.”

“No tender was called for granting the work. The Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurement (KTPP) Act has been out rightly disregarded. The assets have been discharged to the temporary workers around the same time of endorsing the works. The whole fund has been duped,” Shobha expressed, releasing an arrangement of records to demonstrate her charges.

The BJP leader said the Corporation has inside and out endorsed drilling of 36,000 bore wells at a cost of Rs 36 crores crosswise over 17 districts on January 2 this year, damaging KTPP Act. The corrupt Congress government is plundering the citizens’ cash at the far end of its term. Bore well trick is just a glimpse of a larger problem. Prime Minster Narendra Modi said it is 10% commission sarkar. All things considered it is 100% commission sarkar, she charged.

“Siddaramiah claims to be a supporter of the Ahinda communities, but in reality he is protecting those who are looting the money meant for the SCs/STs and minorities,” Shobha said.

She put forward a demand that Anjaneya should be removed from the Cabinet immediately. She also demanded a CBI probe into the issue.  She also accused that Anjaneya was involved in a Rs 19-crore bed and pillow scam two years ago. But, Siddaramaiah did not take any action.

In the mean time, Anjaneya said Shobha’s charges are baseless and that there are no irregularities in Ganga Kalyana scheme. He added that he is ready to face investigation by any agency.
