Four allegedly detained in connection with Gauri Lankesh Murder

Bengaluru: The murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh on September 5, 2017 shook the state and a tremendous outcry took after. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted to solve the case and till this month, it appeared as though they were going no place. In any case, news is presently rising that four suspects have been detained.
K T Naveen alias Hotte Manja, affirmed to be an extremist of the Hindu Jagran Vedike, was arrested by the SIT from the Majestic area, regarding the murder of Lankesh. Naveen is a local of Kadalur in the Maddur taluk of Mandya region.
It is accounted for that Naveen had gone to the Majestic zone with a gun on February 18 after which he was arrested by the SIT. They likewise recovered the country made gun and five 0.32 mm live rounds from him and a case was enrolled in the Upparpet police headquarters. Based on information provided by Naveen, it is said that three men from Mangaluru were also held captive in connection with the Lankesh murder case and have been shifted to Bengaluru for further investigation.
It has likewise been said that Naveen has information about the Lankesh death despite the fact that he was not specifically included. Notwithstanding, he is said to have helped the men in charge of her murder, by shielding them and providing them information about Lankesh. He is additionally charged to have bailed them investigate the zone around Lankesh’s home and office.
Home Minister of Karnataka, Ramalinga Reddy has said that no one is arrested in connection with the case. He also indicated that the investigation was moving the correct way.
