Bengaluru: The royal couple Yaduveer and Trishika have named their son Adyaveer Narasimha Wodeyar in a simple ceremony held at Bengaluru palace here on February 25.

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodiyar and his wife Trishikaa Kumari Devi welcomed a baby boy in Bengaluru on December 6, 2017. The naming ceremony was held today and was attended by close relatives of the royal family.

The baby boy is the 28th heir in the Wadiyar family. The last time a baby was born to the family was in February 1953, with the birth of Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar. Wadiyar’s wife queen Pramoda Devi formally adopted Yaduveer, who is the nephew of late Maharaja and the son of Leela Tripurasundari Devi and Swarup Anand Gopalraj Urs.

Yaduveer married Trishika Kumari Devi in June 2016. Trishika is the daughter of Harshvardhan Singh and Maheshri Kumari from the Dungarpur royal family in Rajasthan.
