Four-year-old raped, accused held

Bengaluru: A 28 year old labourer was arrested for raping a 4 year old child on Sunday.

The accused has been identified as Anil Kumar. He is a native of Bihar and had come to the city as a daily wage labourer at the RMC Yard. The victim’s parents were also a native of Bihar and a known to the accused. They were also labourers and worked together with Kumar.

Kumar gave a chocolate to the victim and took her to a lorry stand near her house. He raped her there and dropped her back home. The incident came to light when the victim complained to stomach ache. The parents took her to the hospital where the doctors informed them that the child was sexually assaulted.

The parents filed a complaint against Kumar following which he was arrested. The police officials said that the victim’s statement was recorded. The victim was raped and assaulted as hatred. The girl’s father and Kumar had a conflict regarding money and this led the suspect to take this decision.

Kumar is charged under the POSCO act. Further investigation is still in progress.
