Bengaluru: A 29-year-old CA student was found dead at a hotel room in Banaswadi on Tuesday night after he overdosed on drugs.
The deceased has been identified as Srinivas, a resident of Kullappa Circle near Banaswadi. Srinivas was a final year CA student.
According to the police, Srinivas had booked an OYO room on Tuesday night and invited his fiancé to meet him there on Wednesday. The lady went to meet Srinivas and found him lying unconscious in the room. She immediately shifted him to a nearby hospital but he was declared brought dead.
The police recovered syringes from his room and have sent the syringes to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further examination. They have also found syringe marks on Srinivas’s hands and have suspected that he was doing drugs the previous night. They have concluded that Srinivas was dead because of drug overdose.
His family and fiancé had no clue about Srinivas being a drug addict. They said he wanted to be a successful auditor.
The post-mortem was performed at the BR Ambedkar Hospital and the body was handed over to his family. The Banaswadi police registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating further.
