Second PU exams from today

Mangaluru/Udupi: Over 38,000 students will be appearing the II PU examination in Dakshina Kannada and over 16,000 students will appear from Udupi.
The exams will commence from today.
There will be 54 examination centres in Dakshina Kannada and 27 centres in Udupi district.
The exams would be held from 10.15 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. The college principal would be the chief superintendent of every centre. The lecturers from other educational institutions would be associate chief superintendents in the centre. Two lecturers from other districts would constitute members of special vigilance squad for every centre.
The PU board also mentioned that there would be surprise visits by a squads headed by the Deputy Director of PU Education at the district level, while at taluk-level, the senior principals and senior lecturers of colleges from districts would constitute the vigilance squads.
Security arrangements such as CCTV cameras, bio metric machines, bar coding readers have been installed at centres.
