Forest fire destroys 10 acres of Turahalli forest

Bengaluru: A mysterious fire burnt down more than 10 acres of land of woods at the Turahalli reserve forest on Sunday.
Neighbourhood occupants held hands with woods authorities to put out the jumping flares two hours after it was first spotted around 2 pm.
Authorities said this is the first forest fire inside the reserve this year, however sporadic episodes of waste being determined to flame had been accounted for.
Forest authorities have been attempting to shield the sprawling 60-section of land lush fix nearest to the city against local people, villagers, property engineers, lawmakers and other powerful individuals looking to either infringing the place or clearing it for improvement.

Sunil Baberwal, member from Eco Volunteers India Trust and occupant of a flat complex on the edges of the forest, said the inhabitants hurried promptly to the authorities’ guide to splash the fire.
