Lokayukta Vishwanath Shetty is out of danger: Dr.Bhat

Bengaluru: Karnataka Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty, who was stabbed at his office on Wednesday suffered from major injuries and bleeding. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and was under treatment. Lokayukta underwent surgeries and is now said to be out of danger.
Lokayukta is at Vittal Mallya Hospital for further treatment. Dr. Diwakar Bhat from the hospital said that the Lokayukta is recovering and a team of five specialist doctors have been attending to him.
Lokayukta is 74 years old and had earlier undergone bypass surgery, multiple stabbing has caused more damaged to him as he is unable to bear too much pain. He will be in the ICU till his condition gets better, Dr Bhat added.
Chief minister, Siddaramaiah, minister, D K Shivakumar, M B Patil, Kagodu Thimmappa, and H M Revanna, city mayor, Sampath Kumar, former deputy chief minsiter, R Ashok, MP, Shobha Karandlaje, Vatal Nagaraj, retired Lokayukta, Justice Santosh Hegde and several judges of subordinate courts came to the hospital and consoled the family of Justice Vishwanath Shetty.
The Vidhan Soudha police, who have registered case under section 307 of Indian Penal Code, are continuing with investigation.
