Nation’s tallest tricolor flag hoisted at Belagavi

Belagavi: India’s tallest flag was hoisted with pomp and gaiety on the banks of Kotakere here today.
The flag is at a height of 110 metres, and was hoisted by district in-charge Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi here.
Addressing the gathering, Jarkiholi said that he was glad to dedicate the country’s tallest national flag to the nation and the state.
Ramya Rajya can be established if all choose to live in harmony, the country belongs to all, he added.
MLA Firoz Sait said, the nation and its flag are one and all were equal before it.
The tricolour which is the country’s tallest is 110 metre height and 120 X 80 square feet.
A 105-metre tall tricolour is being flown at the Wagah border. Another flagpole in Pune is 109 meters tall.
