Heavy rainfall in parts of Karnataka

Bengaluru: Few parts of Karnataka received heavy rainfall on Wednesday night and on Thursday.

A decent spell of rain, joined by thunder, lightning and substantial breeze, lashed the Cauvery catchment zone on Thursday. Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and parts of Hassan area experienced light rainfall on Thursday evening. Hunsur, Periyapatna, H D Kote taluks, Nagarahole and Bandipur National Park got great rain as well.

Hubballi-Dharwad got light showers for a couple of minutes on Thursday morning.

Parts of Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu and Shivamogga recorded light to moderate showers. Rain has conveyed help to coffee, areca and coconut cultivators.

Parts of Hagaribommanahalli and Hosapete taluks in Ballari area experienced drizzle of rains on Thursday evening.
